"Rescue Roulette: Dogs from Abroad" - OUR RESPONSE

In response to the recent Rescue Roulette: Dogs from Abroad documentary, we at PAW Society feel compelled to speak out. Once again, small, ethical rescues are portrayed unfairly, while large national organisations are elevated without scrutiny.

We reject this one-sided narrative. The cases highlighted do not reflect our values or the values of many responsible, foster-based rescues across the UK. We demand meaningful reform in the rescue sector that includes real standards, real accountability, and a real voice for those working tirelessly on the frontlines of animal welfare.

Real change doesn’t come from silencing the small. It comes from listening to those doing the hard work without fanfare, every single day.
