2025 was a year of real growth, resilience, and unforgettable moments for our charity. We welcomed two brilliant new team members, Deborah and Nina, and were delighted to gain specialist support in funding applications from one of our fosters - a long-term goal that’s already strengthening our future.

One of our proudest moments was seeing Lavender, one of our longest-serving residents, finally find her forever home after 615 days in foster!

We also celebrated major milestones, including hosting our first ever RescueFest, forming an international partnership with Project Paw Cyprus, and watching our long-standing partners at Kiko’s Cat Cafe expand into a larger venue, helping even more cats in need.

The year also brought significant challenges. We treated two kittens, Disney and Rafiki, for FIP with the support of Happy Tails Vets, with their sister, Alice, still bravely fighting to recover.

A severe shortage of foster homes meant we had to turn away record numbers of animals, while those we could help often required complex and costly veterinary care, resulting in our highest vet bills to date.

We also said goodbye to much-loved adoptees - Joey, Arthur, Margot, Leia, Bob, Ruby, Chonk, Scotty, Ralph, Woowoo, Lola, and Bernie. Though deeply missed, we’re comforted knowing they spent their final months or years surrounded by love in family homes.

None of this would be possible without our incredible community. We’re endlessly grateful to our partners and supporters, including The Animal Team, The Great Catsby, The Neuter Project, Agria Pet Insurance, MyPet, and everyone who donated, fostered, adopted, or otherwise supported us throughout the year. You truly are the backbone of our work.

One of our core values is transparency. That’s why we publish all the numbers that go into running a charity every single month.

Thanks to an incredible anonymous donation, we brought in £7,828.52 and spent £2,073.27, finishing the month with an amazing £5,755.25 spare. The majority of our funds went toward essential vet care, transport, and foster supplies - every penny making a real difference to the animals who rely on us.
