Welcome back to the PAW Society newsletter. We unfortunately missed last month’s edition as our team was so busy, so here’s a summary of what we’ve been up to during that time!

Pups at Pride

Our furry team members, Gabriel and Jeffrey, represented the charity at Liverpool Pride! They added some cuteness to the parade whilst embracing the spirit at the heart of Pride.!

We’re proud to be strong allies of the LGBTQIA+ community and our team firmly believes everybody should be able to be their authentic selves. Love is love! 🌈

Animals Available to Adopt

Lavender, age 2, has now been in our care for over a year. After arriving heavily pregnant and raising her babies, she’s looking for a home with no other pets but she loves children aged 12+. Find out more about Lavender here.

Olly, age 5, is learning how to be a dog in foster after a traumatic past. He’s turned into a confident and happy dog and is looking for a home with other canine friends. Find out more about Olly here.

Merry, age 1, would love a home with young children as she develops such beautiful bonds with youngsters. She can also live with other cats or dogs. Find out more about Merry here.

Lorek, age 2, is a gentle boy who is partial to occasional goofy zoomies. He needs to live with another confident dog and can live with calm children but no cats. Find out more about Lorek here.

Newcomers

We’ve taken in a number of animals recently. Let us introduce you to some of them.

Woowoo the Frenchie came into our care when her owner’s working hours changed. It’s hard not to fall in love with her silly antics and sweet nature.

Poppy the cat and her six kittens(!) came to us when her owner’s landlord stated she was no longer allowed pets. Knowing how hard it is to care for newborn kittens, her owner decided it was best to surrender them. We’ve decided on a Disney theme for the kittens’ names once their personalities come out a little more.

Fun and Fundraising at Festivals

August is always such a busy month for us as we take advantage of so many summer events to showcase the charity’s work and raise vital funds.

This year, we attended both Weyfest Music Festival and Wick Street Festival and had an absolute blast! We don’t always see the best side of people in our line of work, but connecting with so many animal lovers each summer really restores our faith.

We were thrilled to have so many musicians judging our fun dog shows and even found time to catch a few moments of their performances. Huge thank you to:

Each month, we share a monthly breakdown of our finances.

Thanks to the festivals we attended, we’re going into September with some cash in the bank but very much doubt this will last for too long.
