Welcome back to the PAW Society newsletter. We’ve missed a few instalments, but are back with a bang!

Happy forever after to Lavender!

We’re over the moon that after 615 days in foster, our Lavender finally has her forever home!

We spent over 18 months wondering why no one wanted to adopt Lavender. It turns out, her new family were worth waiting for and Lavender is already settling in like a dream!

Disney and Kenny need your help

At only six months old, Disney’s life was almost cut short when he was diagnosed with FIP - a deadly virus which, until very recently, was a certain death sentence in the UK.

Luckily, medication is now available, but it doesn’t come cheap.

We’ve been quoted £4,500 to save Disney’s life and started him on treatment straight away. We’ve already spent £3,000 and still have two lots of the life-saving medication to order.

Kenny must be the unluckiest dog in the world. Everyone he’s ever loved has disappeared through no fault of his own. After being surrendered by his first family, he fell on his paws in his next foster home. Suddenly, the family had a huge change in circumstances and Kenny sadly had to move.

After two further foster placements, which didn’t work out due to resident pets and work changes, we were forced to place Kenny in kennels. At £30 a day and with no end date in sight, we’re really concerned for Kenny’s happiness.

This boy desperately needs stability and we’re hoping his forever home is just around the corner. You can help Kenny by sponsoring his kennel stay or sharing his adoption advert.

Animals available to adopt

Callie, age 2.5, has not been in our care for over 18 months. After arriving with her tiny kittens, who are now grown and in homes of their own, it’s definitely Callie’s turn. She can live with other pets and children of any age. Find out more about Callie here.

Mario, age 10 months, is a soft-natured pup who thrives in the company of other animals. He needs to be adopted with a confident adult dog, and can also live with cats, small pets, and children of any age. Find out more about Mario here.

Pitta, age 5, arrived in November when his family couldn’t find pet-friendly housing. He’s done brilliantly in foster and has been described as a “living meme”! Pitta’s perfect home is pet-free, but he can live with children of any age. Find out more about Pitta here.
