Happy February!

How good does it feel to leave January behind? It was the loooongest month and we were kept very busy, so we have plenty to share with you!

First of all, it was our birthday! The 19th marked three years since we established our rescue and we couldn’t be more proud of all we’ve accomplished - even if we’ve sprouted a couple of grey hairs in the process!

Our journey began after witnessing the most horrendous animal welfare crimes. Those events went unnoticed by the public and unpunished by those in power, but they sparked a fierce passion within us and a desire to do better.

After some initial messages of ‘can we really do this?’ we decided, actually, we could, and the rest was history…

Rescue Mission

Earlier in the month, trustee Lynda and our partner April from Kiko’s Cat Cafe embarked on a mission to pick up five kitties who were in need of rescue spaces, including a cat whose elderly owners were no longer able to care for her. Heartbreakingly, the couple were so worried another rescue would simply just euthanise her - of course, we assured them this absolutely would not be the case.

Adoptions

Other successful adoptions in January include dogs Winnie (formerly Esther), Georgina and Eddie, and cats Blossom, Farley, Luna and Tilly. Stay tuned to our social media pages for updates!
