Turn a Blind Eye day

On Saturday 6th September, we’ll be standing up for animals on Turn a Blind Eye day and invite our supporters to join us.

Every year over 3 million animals including dogs, monkeys, rabbits, and mice are subjected to painful, outdated, and unnecessary tests in the UK alone.

In 2023, 124,000 of these procedures were officially classified as "severe" - causing long-lasting pain, distress, or even death.
And the shocking truth is: this is perfectly legal under UK law.

This is violence disguised as science and we will not stand for it. On September 6th please show your support by sharing a post and use the hashtags #turnablindeyeday and #endanimaltesting. That’s it - it costs nothing more than a few moments of your time.

New arrivals

In August we welcomed five new cats into our care. The “cocktail kittens” were transferred from The Cat Welfare Group after they received a report that kittens had been abandoned inside a bag! Now age 12 weeks, the foursome are thriving and will be looking for new homes soon.

Louie, age 1, is originally from Romania and rescued by The Great Catsby. He’s already been charming everyone he meets and we’re sure he’ll have no trouble finding a home.

Adopt a pet

Daysi is the ultimate people-loving pup!

She’s confident, cuddly, and will happily plonk herself in your lap for fuss and snuggles. Daysi’s dream is a home is fun and active with no other pets. Children aged 7 and over are ideal to enjoy her bouncy nature. Read more about Daysi here.

Macey is curious, affectionate, and looking for “his person”.

He loves affection, nose boops, and curling up with his human at night. Macey is still gaining confidence so he needs a calm, patient home where he can bond at his own pace. Read more about Macey here.

Sally is the cuddle queen!

This affectionate, playful girl adores her humans and settled into foster as if she’d always been there. She’s deaf, but smartly picking up hand signals and it doesn’t stop her from loving life. Find out more about Sally here.

Pirate is gentle, affectionate, and full of charm!

He’s the gentlest, cuddliest cat who loves humans, children, and other pets. This super affectionate chap must have another cat in his forever home and would be safest indoors or with a secure catio due to his missing eye. Find out more about Pirate here.

August round-up
