Rory is a gorgeous young kitten who has been an absolute joy throughout his time in foster care. He's a wonderfully friendly little boy who combines all the entertainment of kittenhood with a genuinely affectionate nature. If you're hoping to welcome a cat who enjoys human company and isn't afraid to ask for a cuddle, Rory could be a beautiful match.
He's perfectly happy being picked up and handled, and one of his favourite things is climbing onto someone's lap, making himself comfortable, and drifting off to sleep. Rory is also comfortable meeting new adults and doesn't appear particularly bothered by visitors coming into the home. His foster carer describes him as a friendly, happy little character who has been lovely from the very beginning.
When he isn't cuddling, Rory is usually busy being a kitten! He loves racing around, exploring, and making the most of the many toys available to him. He's an entertaining little boy who enjoys playing with his siblings and has plenty of energy for all the usual kitten adventures. He has occasionally treated the armchairs as climbing equipment, with his little claws sometimes getting caught in the fabric. This is something his new family should be mindful of, providing suitable scratching posts, climbing opportunities, and plenty of appropriate enrichment.
Rory hasn't demonstrated any significant behavioural concerns during his time in foster care. He may briefly jump at particularly sudden loud noises or movements, but otherwise appears comfortable with ordinary household activity.
Rory currently lives alongside his mum and three siblings and gets along beautifully with them all. He's very accustomed to feline company and enjoys playing and spending time with the other cats. He's also shown curiosity towards another resident cat who is currently kept separate, often spending time near the door in an apparent attempt to say hello. We feel Rory could happily share his new home with another friendly cat, provided introductions are managed appropriately. Rory hasn't yet met children, but his foster carer feels he could live happily with them, provided they're old enough to understand gentle handling and won't overwhelm him.
Rory would enjoy a family home with plenty of activity, interaction, and opportunities to play. A busy household could suit him particularly well, as he's a sociable little character who enjoys being involved in everyday life. He could manage some time without human company, although his foster carer feels full working days alone would ideally be limited to a few days per week. If adopted into a working home, he would need another cat for company.
Rory has been perfectly happy living indoors and could live as an indoor-only cat, provided he receives plenty of physical and mental enrichment. Alternatively, safe outdoor access could be considered after an appropriate settling period, provided his new home is situated away from busy roads.
Rory is currently too young to be neutered before adoption. As part of the adoption agreement, his adopter must arrange for him to be neutered before he reaches one year of age and provide evidence of this to PAW Society when requested. Until he has been neutered, he must not be allowed outdoors or have contact with any unneutered cats of the opposite sex.
Rory is a wonderfully affectionate, playful, and confident little boy who is ready to bring an enormous amount of love into his new home.
Whether he's entertaining his family with his latest kitten antics or curling up on someone's lap for a snooze, he's sure to make a very special companion.
