Mario

Mario is a sweet, soft-natured young dog with a heart full of love, but he needs a special family willing to help him continue building his confidence. Life hasn’t always been easy for Mario, and this has left him a little nervous, especially when meeting new people. If someone approaches too quickly, he may hide, but once he sees other dogs greeting them, he begins to relax and even enjoys saying hello once everyone is settled.

This gentle boy is wonderful with children of all ages and has met cats, guinea pigs, and other dogs without issue. In fact, Mario adores dogs - he’s happiest in their company, greeting them with a wag and taking on a submissive role. We believe he would truly thrive in a home with a calm, confident dog who can show him the ropes and give him reassurance.

Mario is still working on overcoming some fears, such as loud noises, traffic, and sudden movements. He also struggles with separation anxiety - he becomes upset when left alone or behind closed doors. For this reason, he needs a family who are home most of the time and who can patiently continue his training. Despite this, he has made progress. He now settles happily in his crate at night when close to his humans and has started improving in his ability to cope with short absences.

Playful and active once he feels safe, Mario loves doggy games and running around with canine friends. He’s a bright boy but not food or toy motivated just yet - trust comes first for him. With kindness, time, and consistency, we know he will blossom into the most loyal companion.

Mario would be best suited to a calm, quiet home with patient adopters who understand his anxieties and are committed to helping him grow. With love and support, he will reward his family with endless affection and joy.
