Ferdi is a lovely little boy who offers a slightly quieter take on typical kittenhood. Although he enjoys playing with his siblings and getting involved in their adventures, he's also perfectly content wandering off to do his own thing. Currently living alongside four other cats, Ferdi is very accustomed to feline company and gets along beautifully with everyone in his foster home.
Ferdi can be a little nervous when first meeting someone new, but he adjusts relatively quickly once he's had the opportunity to become familiar with them. He's comfortable being handled and hasn't shown any significant behavioural concerns during his time in foster care.
Like many kittens, he can occasionally startle at sudden loud noises or unexpected movements, but otherwise appears relaxed around ordinary household activity.
Ferdi enjoys playtime and has been perfectly happy living indoors with his siblings. He would appreciate a home with plenty of toys, enrichment, and opportunities to explore, but doesn't require constant human attention to entertain himself.
Ferdi could happily live alongside other friendly pets. His experience growing up with multiple feline companions means he's comfortable sharing his environment. He hasn't yet met children, but his foster carer feels respectful children aged approximately six and over could be suitable.
A busy household would be acceptable to Ferdi, although he doesn't specifically need one. A quieter family home could suit him equally well, provided he receives plenty of interaction, play, and affection. His independent nature also means his foster carer feels he could cope with his humans being away for an occasional working day. If adopted into a full-time working home, he would need another cat for company.
Ferdi has been perfectly content indoors and could continue as an indoor-only cat with appropriate physical and mental stimulation. Alternatively, he could enjoy safe outdoor access after an appropriate settling period in a suitable location.
Ferdi is currently too young to be neutered before adoption. As part of the adoption agreement, his adopter must arrange for him to be neutered before he reaches one year of age and provide evidence of this to PAW Society when requested. Until he has been neutered, he must not be allowed outdoors or have contact with any unneutered cats of the opposite sex.
Ferdi is a sweet, uncomplicated little character who doesn't demand to be the centre of attention. For someone looking for a playful kitten who can also appreciate a little independence, he could be a wonderful addition to the family.
