DAISY

If you’re looking for a cat whose approach to life is essentially find somewhere comfortable, look adorable, and let everyone come to me, Daisy might just be your perfect match. She has been described as one of the most confident and laid-back girls her carers have ever met, and very little seems capable of disturbing her peace.

Daisy absolutely loves people and has no reservations about adults or children. At the cat café, she spends much of her time sprawled near the entrance or positioned on a chair where she can be among the first to receive attention from arriving guests. She isn't really a lap cat and doesn't tend to demand attention; instead, she finds a comfortable spot and happily accepts all the strokes and fuss that come her way. She even likes to lick and groom her favourite humans! More recently, Daisy has developed a particular fondness for children, choosing to sit close to them and occasionally attempting to climb onto their laps.

Her wonderfully relaxed attitude extends to other cats. Daisy is excellent around them but doesn't particularly seek out their companionship. She's been seen briefly playing with other cats, but she's generally far happier doing her own thing and peacefully sharing her space. She could therefore live alongside another cat and isn't particularly fussy about age or sex, although she'd probably appreciate a companion who won't constantly interrupt her naps or demand interaction.

Daisy hasn't shown fear around household noises, sudden movements, or the usual hustle and bustle of everyday life. A busy household would be perfectly acceptable to Daisy, but she doesn't need one to be happy, so she could equally suit someone looking for a calm, easy-going companion. She's also content with her own company and could cope with her humans being away for a full working day.

When it comes to activity levels, Daisy is incredibly low maintenance. She does occasionally play and enjoy a crazy five minutes, but it generally isn't long before she's back to sprawling somewhere comfortable. What she really wants is a cosy place to curl up, plenty of strokes, and people who appreciate her wonderfully gentle nature.

Daisy could have safe outdoor access after a three-month settling period in an appropriately located home, but she certainly doesn't require it. Her carers believe she'd be perfectly content living entirely indoors provided she has appropriate enrichment and everything she needs.

For someone wanting an affectionate cat without needing a constant shadow, Daisy offers a lovely balance. She's friendly without being demanding, confident without being boisterous, and sociable while remaining wonderfully independent. Mostly, Daisy is looking for somewhere comfortable to continue doing what she does best - relaxing, receiving fuss, and making herself very easy to love.
