Amber is a gorgeous young kitten who combines all the fun and enthusiasm of kittenhood with a lovely, slightly independent personality. Currently living alongside her mum and three siblings, Amber is very accustomed to feline company and absolutely loves playing with the others. Whether she's bundling around with her siblings, chasing toys, or investigating her surroundings, she's a lively little character who knows how to keep herself entertained.
Although Amber can be a little nervous when initially meeting new people, she doesn't take long to come around. Her foster family has noticed her confidence increasing throughout her time in care, and she's becoming progressively happier to spend time with them and accept being picked up for short periods. She enjoys affection but isn't particularly demanding. Amber is quite content doing her own thing and will occasionally wander away from her siblings to enjoy a little independence.
She's generally unfazed by ordinary household activity, although sudden loud noises or unexpected movements can briefly startle her. No significant behavioural concerns have been identified during her time in foster care.
Amber could happily live with other friendly pets. Having grown up alongside her siblings and mum, she's accustomed to sharing her space, and her foster carer feels she could adjust to feline companions of various ages. She hasn't yet met children, but her foster feels a home with respectful children aged approximately six and over could suit her well. Children should understand that Amber may initially need a little time to build confidence and that handling should always be gentle.
She could enjoy a busy household but doesn't specifically require one. Amber can cope with some time without human company, although her foster feels full working days alone would ideally be limited to a few days per week. If adopted into a full-time working home, she would need another cat for company.
Amber has been perfectly happy playing indoors and could live as an indoor cat with sufficient physical and mental enrichment. Alternatively, she could enjoy safe outdoor access after an appropriate settling period, provided her new home is situated away from busy roads.
Amber is currently too young to be neutered before adoption. As part of the adoption agreement, her adopter must arrange for her to be neutered before she reaches one year of age and provide evidence of this to PAW Society when requested. Until she has been neutered, she must not be allowed outdoors or have contact with any unneutered cats of the opposite sex.
Amber is a lovely little girl who simply needs a family willing to give her the time, affection, and opportunities to continue blossoming. With plenty of toys, a comfortable home, and people who appreciate her playful independence, she'll make a wonderful companion.
